Sandwiches and wrap recipes - Nori Roll

4 sheets toasted nori
4 cups sweet brown rice, cooked
2 cups grated carrot
2 avocados, sliced
1 pack alfalfa sprouts
1 red pepper, sliced
tamari or soy sauce for dipping

1. Fill a small bowl with warm water. Use this water for wetting your fi ngers in the following steps. You can
also use this water to moisten the ends of the nori so they stick together when you roll it up in step 4.
2. Lay a sheet of nori on a fl at surface. Wet your fi ngers and spread a quarter of the rice onto the nori, leaving
about an inch uncovered at the top of the sheet.
3. Place a portion of the grated carrot, avocado slices, alfalfa and red pepper horizontally about half way
down the rice.
4. Wet your fi ngers again and roll the nori into a thick cigar shape.
5. Use a sharp, wet knife to cut the Nori Roll diagonally in half.
6. Serve with tamari or soy sauce for dipping. Repeat for each serving.
